At Smart Start we provide a play based curriculum program that reflects the EYLF and is based on children’s needs and interests and abilities, where children have access to opportunities that maximize their learning and development through planned experiences, spontaneous play and intentional teaching. Our team of educators promote children’s learning through meaningful, inviting and challenging experiences in our indoor /outdoor programs. Our team of educators are qualified Early Childhood professionals who have a great passion for nurturing, engaging children in learning and furthering their development in the areas relating to the Early Years Learning Framework. Each room runs an indoor /outdoor program where children are empowered to make choices in regards to their play, giving them a sense of autonomy and agency. We encourage families to come dressed for the possibilities of the many seasons in one day that Melbourne has to offer us as we endeavor to utilize our indoor /outdoor program on a daily basis. Play is a major focus in the planning of children’s development and learning as play allows children to participate in exciting, engaging and meaningful experiences through fun and stimulating play.
