Our Emergent Curriculum incorporates a Reggio Emilia Approach where children's learning is explored to their fullest potential.

Our nutritious, well balanced meals follow the Start Right Eat Right Program and are prepared on site by our wonderful chef.

Dry Cleaning Service! Smart Start are also currently looking into partnering up with a local dry cleaner. This will aim to assist our families by having one or two days a week to drop clothing off at the centre to have it dry cleaned. Clothes will be available for collection at the centre that same week. We are currently waiting on a price list for this service but we will be sure to keep you updated. Expression of interest forms are available at the front office so please sign up if this is something you might be interested in!

Mobile Hair Dresser! Smart Start are in the process of organising for a local hair dresser to come to us once a week and cut the children's hair. This will be an order based service and expression of interest forms are currently at the front office. Pricing will be approximately $10 per child but more details are yet to come!

Smart Start are now running a music program! Jeff comes twice a week on a Monday and a Thursday and works his way through each room singing songs and playing the guitar. The children have shown great enthusiasm toward this and are encouraged to sing and dance along. This improves their motor development as well as their social development and sense of belonging.

A Little About Smart Start

Smart Start Early Learning and Development Centre is committed to providing high quality childcare to all children and their families. We aim to create a learning environment which encompasses an emergent curriculum where children are respected as equal contributors to their learning.

Smart Start ELDC offers child care to children aged 6 weeks to school age, incorporating a preschool program.

The centre is open for 52 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 6.30pm, except for public holidays.

Smart Start Early Learning and Development Centre is a modern climate controlled purpose-built facility with 7 separate children rooms:

Our large, natural outdoor play space is separated into areas to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all children. All outdoor play spaces have plenty of protection from the sun, primarily through the many large trees on and around the site, but also via the sails installed to cover the high use areas.

Car parking is provided on-site for parents to pick-up/drop-off their children and also for staff members.

Management
The Smart Start Leadership team have formed a strong partnership with Advance Childcare Management in order to ensure that the highest quality standards are consistently met on a daily basis.

Advanced Childcare Management has one of the country's leading child care Operations Manager's, Anna Papaleo who works directly with Smart Start, in order to drive and deliver professional services.
